The end plate is one of the most over looked parts when it comes to upgrading your rifle. After all, that simple hunk of forged metal does a perfectly good job of holding your takedown pin detent and spring in place and providing material to stake your castle nut. Like all of FCDs designs, function came first. Basically bomb proof, the ESF is constructed from 4140 chrome moly steel with a diamond-like carbon finish to resist wear and corrosion. This model features a simpler design with only a single QD sling swivel socket with full rotation.

Very nice looking end plate. I have several of these now. FCD doesn’t disappoint. Fit and finish are second to none and usability is high.

It’s Forward Controls, so of course it’s top quality. It’s a nice option if you want a QD point without getting too heavy , but with way more meat than a standard end plate.

Hands down the nicest looking end plate available, but durable as hell too. Plenty of metal around the QD point so that shouldn’t ever fail, and the ring is thicker too so it’s much easier to stake with the castle nut without damaging the integrity of it. Do you *need* a 45 dollar end plate when a BCM will do? Maybe not. But your favorite gun will thank you for it, especially if you’re rocking other FCD parts.
